We were a little bit disappointed with Woli艅ski Park Narodowy, but we only visited it as walking tourists. Seeing from the water must be another story… Anyway, the parkings next to the trails in the National Park were pretty busy so finding a place required patience. The trails (Kawcza G贸ra and Jezioro Turkusowe) as such are nice but the number of view points is very limited. So if you enjoy walking in the forest, you will like it, but do not expect seeing much more than that.
After spending a night at a channel nearby the crooked forest in Gryfino, we went there for a short walk. Indeed it is very interesting to see so many trees bent in a similar manner. Unfortunately it is unclear how and why these distortions were made. They are manmade for sure and the rest is unknown.
After this short visit we moved forward North, to the D膮bie lake, looking for a nice peaceful beach with clear water to swim and cool down a bit (34掳C on that day).
In Bystra and Lubczyna the beach was clean and pretty empty, but the water reminded of a green soup.
And so we moved more to the North, to Szczecin Lagoon, to find a very peaceful beach few kilometres after St臋pnica, in Czarnocin.
The water was equally green in there, but the views and the emptiness made us stay there for the night 馃檪
A lovely place to celebrate the 14th anniversary of us together, with a bottle of wine bought in the winyeard visited few days before from … plastic glasses made for kids by a well known Swidish company 馃檪
Anyway, it was served in a perfect temperature 馃榾
艁ag贸w surprised us and very positively with a beautiful park right next the castle and at the shore of a lake. This place is full of history and a romantic charm…
From there we moved forward towards Lubniewice. We stayed overnight at a forest parking with a view on the lake.
And in the morning took a stroll around the park of love. A lovely morning…
There is a park of dwarfs in Nowa S贸l that will make your kids happy. The entrance is free and you will find enough playgrounds and animal to keep your kids busy for 2-3hours.
The fun time for the kids was the planning time for me. With temperature of 30掳C+ we decided to look for some nice lakes and hang around them. And do we drove towards lake Szumino. On our way there we spotted the highest statue of Jesus in Europe. Although to me it looks like a statue of Aragorn from “the Lord of the rings” 馃槈
Lake Szumino appeared to be reasonably clean and the spot we found was good enough for an overnight staying but…
half an hour after we arrived, a tractor sprayed manure on a nearby field… The smell was so intense that we decided to look for another place, with some fresh air, for a change 馃槈 And so we found lake Nies艂ysz, with ctistal clear water and white sand on the beach 馃檪
This sign made me loughing a lot:
In Go艂uch贸w we spent a lovely afternoon with quite some walking, especially for the short legs… The park surrounding the castle is well worth a walk and one can also visit the neighbouring Bizon reserve.
Finding a place for wild camping nearby proved to be difficult that evening do we ended up sleeping at the parking of a local camground (Goluchow – parking przy jeziorze), right next to the road. It was loud and in the morning we found a trash container lying on the ground next to our back window… It looks like someone was curious what is inside… So if you have time, look for a another place to sleep.
It was just by a chance that we arrived to Baka艂arzewo. We were looking for a quiet place to park for the night nearby Wigierski Park Narodowy and the small parking by the lake was indicated on one of the maps of possibilities for wild camping.
And the town/village was a very positive surprise to us: with a river and a lake and full of history! We enjoyed our time there a lot! Just layzing by the lake (with a sandy beach), visiting the local playground and paying a visit at small bunker.
The guide for bunker impressed us with his passion for history. You should not miss this 30 minutes excursion just at the border of the village.
And in the afternoon of the next day a lovely couple joined us for the evening and a little bit of the morning! Thank you Asia and Mirek for the joyful and valuable time we that we spent together!
