Chasing the warmth and hoping for relaxing part 2

As today rain and colder weather were expected in our previous location, we moved South again, to Cervia. Let’s see if the weather predictions are correct and if gained few days of summer more?

At this time of the year the town is almost empty. As well as is the camping (Adriatico) or the beach 🙂

Taking photos with Julia nearby is not an easy task… 😉

Lazying part 1

As we needed some relaxed time, we decided to use the last (?) summer days for relaxing at the beach and in a swimming pool. Villaggio San Francesco in Duna Verde is a place to recommend! The campsite was 30% (or less?) full, the swimming pools were a great attraction for our kids and a warmer alternative to the sea.

And within a 10min walk along the beach there are several restaurants and bars that will not leave you hungry!

Puck and Hel peninsula

Visiting the ones close to your heart is always joyful and beautiful!

But Puck and Hel peninsula are worth paying a visit even if you do not have family living nearby.

The fish soup and fried fish at Maszoperia restaurant – something not to miss!

A paradise for kites and windsurfers!

The Hel peninsula is full of history, picturesque places, delicious fishes and sandy beaches. It is also very windy so do not forget your hoody!

Trail of wine and honey

In the surrounding of Zielona Góra one can find several wineyards. Some of them are very small, other bigger. Some owners would have time for the visitors, other wouldn’t… We were lucky to choose Ingrid wineyard to visit on Sunday afternoon. The owner, a smart and very charming lady, shared the story of her last 10 years+ and guided us around. Beautiful place, delicious wine and a very interesting owner!

A good introduction about the winery in the region is given in the centre of winery in Zabór (Lubuskie centrum winiarstwa). A self guided visit with an audioguide is free of charge and will take you about 30min.

Visiting Tatars in Kruszyniany and Supraśl

Kruszyniany – although the place is very touristic, it is worth a visit. In just 20min long guided tour to the mosque one can learn a lot of history and interesting stories about the Tatars from the village and in Poland. The guide is a very interesting person as such! Do not miss the cemetery!

We had a late lunch in the local restaurant serving Tatar’s traditional food. Everything was tasty and of good quality but our kids did not share our enthusiasm towards the new tastes 😉

Few kilometres North from Kruszyniany, there are Krynki with a roundabout connecting 12 streets (unique in Poland!).

When driving towards Supraśl we knew that we will get some rain at last. But we were lucky to reach the town right after the heavy rain was over.

The deeper the better!

Lovely small town with lots of history and several picturesque places. It is definitely worth a longer walk, but we were running pretty late and hungry.

We spent a quiet night at Kopna Góra, a recreational area prepared and managed by the State Forest Authority.
