Our trip 2020

Looong travelling has been planted in our dreams for many many years already. With small kids (5 and 3 years old) and both of us working 100% the time accelerated and was passing by with the speed of light… At some point we (well, at least the adults 😉 ) realised that we need to slow down and take a moment for ourselves. We need to take time to make our dreams come true…

And so we started preparations for our 6 months long trip in Europe:

• October/November 2019 – decision to go for several months long trip taken – wow! that took quite some weeks!
• mid December 2019 – we bought our new home, a campervan, and asked the company that built it, to add more gear so that we can be more independent on our way,
• the van was supposed to be ready by the and of January 2020, but… it was not… It was also not finalised 2 weeks later so we decided to take it back from the company and fix the last things on our own,
• and so we did (posts about that are coming soon)!
• and in mid March we were finally ready to go… and so our journey begun.
• But not for long… We travelled through Germany, France and Spain towards Portugal. But when we reached nearby of Valencia, the borders of Catalonia closed, and the border of France and Germany… and we felt it was safer to back to Poland.
• We came back to Poland and completed the home quarantine of 14 days in the flat of Rafal’s sister, where we stayed until end of May. During that time we modyfied the van again while waiting for the lockdown to be over.
• Since early June 2020 we live in the van and travel in Poland.
